Afghan bombs kill 12 wound 11 in Kandahar

The BBC report that at least 12 people, mostly policemen, were killed in a powerful bomb explosion in the southern Afghan city of Kandahar.

Eleven others are said to have been injured in the blast which took place outside the police headquarters.

A policeman told a news agency that the bomb may have been "attached" to a motorcycle parked outside the building.
